The editor of the Farmers' Almanac notes that this winter will look distinctly different from last year: "Based on our time-tested weather formula, the forecast for the upcoming winter looks a lot different from last year, quite divided with some very intense cold snaps and snowfall."
In other words, Virginia should get a mixed bag of winter weather, ranging from plummeting temperatures to rainy, icy, and snowy weather.
The gist of it is, "frigid temperatures" are coming nationwide with the worst-hit being the north-central region. As for Virginia, we can expect cold, wt, slush, and plenty of shivers.
