This Floating Restaurant In Virginia Has Summer Written All Over It

Virginia Beach has a fantastic new attraction that's sure to float your boat.

The Barnacle is a newly-opened eatery that classifies itself as a floating food truck. This food boat offers delicious, casual fare that will fuel your days of splashing in the ocean and catching some rays. It's a one-of-a-kind restaurant in Virginia and you may just have to experience it for yourself.

Attention all beach lovers! Barnacles is officially open for the summer. The brightly colored boat can be found at the Narrows on 64th Street.

This floating restaurant offers culinary delights that you can enjoy all summer long.

You can also expect some out-of-the ordinary treats, such as the taco cones photographed below...

...a pepperoni pizza cone...

...and a specialty ice cream treat known as the Barnacle Cone. Just about every food offered at Barnacles will be served up in their trademark bubble cones.

The Barnacle features a mobile walk-up deck so that visitors can simply walk up to the boat and place their order.

This one-of-a-kind food phenomenon will be open from Thursdays to Sundays, 10:30 a.m. until sunset. The boat is mobile, meaning it can make deliveries to other boats on the water or be rented out for hire.

The Barnacle is located outside of First Landing State Park, at Narrows on 64th Street, off U.S. route 60 in Virginia Beach.
