The Secluded Restaurant In Vermont With The Most Magical Surroundings
Just when you think the
von Trapp Family Lodge couldn’t get any better, along comes an Austrian Bierhall. That’s right, there is now the Bierhall Restaurant located in this little slice of heaven where the hills are alive with, well, bier!
The Trapp Family Lodge is a resort located on 2,500 magical acres in Stowe.
This is where the von Trapp family came after leaving Austria.
This spot reminded them of their homeland, which is where the inspiration for the movie "The Sound of Music" all began.
The Trapp Family Lodge is more than a resort, it has world class cross country skiing and mountain biking on its picturesque property.
Now, there is one more thing to draw visitors from all over the world – the von Trapp Brewing Bierhall Restaurant!
Johannes von Trapp has built a world class brewery on the grounds of his family’s lodge in the pristine mountains of Stowe.
While many breweries use fine ingredients, not many can claim that they use their own natural resources to make their brews.
But that’s not the case here!
This beer is brewed on the grounds of the Trapp Family Lodge, using pure Vermont spring water from their own property.
The food is equally magnificent.
From schnitzel to burgers, this is a perfect place to start or end your day of exploring the property on skis or bikes.
It’s great for a destination all on its own, too!
The public is welcome in this merry restaurant.
The freshest of ingredients are used, and often from right on the property.
These free range Red Star hens lay on average 10 dozen eggs every day!
You’ll love soaking in the views here.
You’ll feel a million miles away from it all at the Bierhall.
You'll find the new Bierhouse Restaurant at 700 Trapp Hill Road in Stowe.
for more information, menus and directions.
Did you know that the
first commercial cross country ski center started right here at Trapps?
