Aside from touring the Old Round Church, we suggest heading to The Kitchen Table in Richmond, Vermont for a hearty meal when you're in this tiny town of about 4,000 residents. This charming restaurant is the place to go for a memorable dish featuring seasonal comfort food classics like mac & cheese, short ribs, burgers with the works, and so much more. And, if you love breakfast as much as I do, you can always make a reservation for the scrumptious Sunday brunch.

Located in the heart of Richmond, The Kitchen Table proudly serves elevated comfort food in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

If you've visited Richmond before, you may have dined at the restaurant's previous iteration, The Kitchen Table Bistro, which closed its doors after 19 years in 2021. The current restaurant, which has different owners, opened in 2023 and dropped "Bistro" from its name as a nod to its new menu and more relaxed atmosphere.

Many of us start counting down the days until fall from the moment the clock strikes midnight, signaling the end of the spooky season, on November 1. Fall, after all, is filled with goodness, from the gorgeous fall foliage and Halloween to apple picking and the most delicious treats of the year. Even if your calendar is already jam-packed, try to carve out some time to visit this small-town apple orchard that makes some of the best apple cider donuts in Vermont.

Autumn in Vermont means days spent leaf-peeping, brisk hikes through the woods, and visits to our favorite fall destinations. One of my favorite parts of fall in Vermont is finding the best sweet treats of the season. If it’s not already on your to-do list, add Stine Orchard in Monkton, a 32-acre orchard that offers apple picking and plenty of good eats. But it’s perhaps best known for its famous apple cider donuts, considered by many the best in Vermont.

Visitors have called the fresh apple cider donuts everything from "delicious" and "great" to "heavenly" and "the best in Vermont." Instead of taking their word for it, though, taste for yourself. Stine Orchard is all about freshness, starting with its homemade donuts. Before you take that first bite, breathe in the sweet aroma of the fresh sweet apple cider donut, which pairs oh-so-perfectly with fresh-pressed apple cider or a cider slushy.

Santiago's Cuban Cuisine is a vibrant new restaurant conveniently located on 3 Main Street, next to the historic Burlington Union Station. Aside from its brick-and-mortar address, this exciting spot is a few moments from Lake Champlain and Burlington's Church Street. As you'll soon see, this labor of love is the place for homemade Cuban dishes like pollo asado, ropa vieja, and the best Cubano in Vermont.
