1. The Brown Cow Cafe - 139 Main Street, Bennington
The food at the Brown Cafe is always excellent and made with real care and attention. Enjoy the high quality ingredients and gluten free selection as well as vegetarian and vegan options, too. With a super friendly staff, great art on the walls, easy parking, and most importantly, amazing coffee, this place is sure to please.
2. Up For Breakfast - 4935 Main Street, Manchester
The menu here has so many offerings it's hard to choose, but no matter what you get it will be great. From the eggs benedict with a side of blueberry venison sausage to the Red Flannel omelet, everything will be cooked perfectly. The thick slices of Canadian bacon and the corned beef brisket are not to be missed.
3. Blue Benn Diner - 318 North Street, Bennington
A fantastic, old school diner that you're sure to love. The walls are full of specials in addition to the massive menu so it's sometimes hard to choose what to order because everything sounds great. Just when you think you've made up your mind, something new comes out of the kitchen looking and smelling incredible!
4. Mary's Cafe - 206 Main, West Rutland
Going to Mary's Cafe feels like you're going into your grandmother's house and the food is just as amazing. It feels like a true home cooked meal, and the raspberry pancakes? We'll let this juicy picture speak for itself.
5. The Maple Diner - 7083 US Rt 4, Bridgewater
This is a wonderful, small little restaurant nestled off the road. If you value freshness, you'll love the homemade country cooking. They have a variety of hot sauces and delicious homemade donuts, and they get their syrup locally along with most of the ingredients and you can just taste the freshness.
6. Perry’s Main Street Eatery - 16 Main Street, Poultney
If you love homemade bread, you'll flip over the French toast! This cozy place is a favorite among locals and you'll get a great meal with a smile.
7. L & M Diner - 240 N Main Street, Barre
You'll give the L & M two thumbs up no matter what you get. The pineapple coconut pancakes are unbelievably delicious, and the Vermont maple syrup enhances the experience even more.
8. Penny Cluse Cafe - 169 Cherry Street, Burlington
You'll be dreaming about these gingerbread pancakes for a very long time! Be sure to pair it with a mini side bucket o' spuds. Yum!

The locals know best, and this stop is a hearty fill up of delicious treats. Go ahead, pile it all on your plate. Every bite is totally worth it!
