This diner looks like it hasn’t been updated for quite awhile, but it’s clean and friendly and it offers some of the best breakfast you’ll ever eat - at a great price! Try the scones. 217 E. 3300 S., Salt Lake City.

This deli doesn’t look like much from the outside - just a basic little deli. I just can’t say enough about the food here, though! The tacos...the ribs...the burgers...the hot dogs...all absolutely delicious. Try not to eat too much, though, because dessert is even better! Try the carrot cake or the cinnamon rolls. 60 W. 100 N., Richfield.

Just because it’s a college hangout, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the deliciousness that is Ed’s, too! You definitely have to try the “GAWD Awful” - hashbrowns, eggs, chili, cheese, onions and sour cream. 210 University Street, Salt Lake City.

Don’t be too quick to judge this restaurant from its exterior - the inside is nice and the food is to die for! It’s hard to recommend just one thing (everything is amazing!), but the nachos al pastor might just be a favorite. 180 S. 900 W., Salt Lake City

Dixie Grill is located in a tiny, older building, but the food here is really tasty. Try any of their burgers and add a shake to your meal for dessert. 408 S. Main Street, Brigham City.

The outside is nothing fancy, but you certainly won’t care once they put that plate of enchiladas in front of you! The next time you find yourself in Salina, check out this little gem. 1535 S. State Street, Salina.

Excellent Mexican food, with special kudos regarding the seafood - the shrimp is delicious! 129 E. Lagoon Street, Roosevelt.

Everything you’d hope for in a small-town drive-thru...delicious burgers, fries and shakes. The Adventure Burger is the specialty; it’s a half-pound bacon burger, topped with an onion ring. 40 E. Main Street, Escalante.

This little hole-in-the-wall serves up some delicious pizza and wings. The breadsticks are legendary. 55 S. 100 E., Tremonton.

It bills itself as, “The Place for Everyone,” and that’s certainly true. It kind of feels like a hole-in-the-wall version of Cheers (where everyone knows your name), but it’s really a restaurant that’s open to kids, too. You could certainly get one of their crazy-good burgers...but why would you do that when the steak is SO TASTY? 35 S. Broadway, Green River.

You know that most small town Dairy Freeze-type places have great burgers, fries and shakes, but how about pie? Rodger’s Dairy Freeze in Mount Pleasant has some of the best homemade pie around! Try the caramel apple. 1 N. State Street, Mount Pleasant.

Don’t pass up this little diner because its exterior is plain...it serves up some of the best chili verde ever. Get it in an omelette for the best breakfast ever. 1147 N. Main Street.
