Summer is the season for camping and campfires, and the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway is one of our favorite summer destinations. There’s nothing like camping overnight by a little lake, sitting by the campfire and enjoying a hobo dinner and some s’mores. But sadly, the mountains are still full of snow, and it will be another couple months before you can comfortably camp there. Until then, you might want to head to Campfire Lounge in Salt Lake City. Campfire Lounge is located at 837 E. 2100 S., Salt Lake City, UT 84106. It's a lounge and bar, so patrons must be at least 21 years old to dine here.
Gather around the fire pits with your friends. It's almost like camping, but you don't have to sleep on the ground, and someone else prepares your food for you.
Speaking of food, you'll love the tasty campfire food here. Tater tots have their own section on the menu, and you can choose from an array of tater tot dishes. Get 'em with cheese, or covered in marinara, sausage and provolone.
There's also a variety of biscuits and gravy on the menu. Offerings include the Big Bubba, which comes with a fried chicken breast, two eggs, and cheese, covered in sausage gravy.
Every year, Campfire Lounge hosts a Pooch Pool Party to raise funds for an animal service charity. You won't want to miss this - it's tons of fun for a great cause.
