Take This Wyoming Hot Springs Road Trip For The Ultimate Adventure

Explore a 700-mile road trip through Wyoming's best hot springs, including Hot Springs State Park, Saratoga Hobo Hot Pool, Granite Hot Springs, Kelly Warm Springs, and Boiling River Hot Springs.

From food trails to waterfalls, there are some pretty extraordinary road trips in Wyoming. These road trips will take you someplace special, unique, and memorable. With all of the thermal features in the Cowboy State, a WY hot springs road trip may just be one of the best. There are numerous hot springs in the state, but we've selected a few of the can't-miss mineral baths to create this ultimate adventure.

This road trip will take you through more than 700 miles of beautiful Wyoming country with at least one option for soaking away stress at each stop.

Naturally, it all kicks off at Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis.

Here, you'll have mineral pools, water slides, and a public bathhouse to enjoy. Additionally, Hot Springs State Park is where you can see the stunning travertine features you've heard so much about. These formations are absolutely breathtaking, and the hot springs flow at a constant temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit.

Next, you'll head south to Saratoga, where you can soak at a Hobo Pool, a public mineral bath that's open 24/7 and is free to use.

The Saratoga Hobo Hot Pool in Wyoming is a place the entire family will enjoy. The hot pool averages around 106 degrees Fahrenheit.

Plan to spend the night at Saratoga Hot Springs Resort, where you can further enjoy natural mineral waters in the area.

The resort features a swimming pool filled with hot mineral water that is cooled to about 96 to 98 degrees Fahrenheit, along with several smaller hot tubs that are kept around 100 to 112 degrees Fahrenheit.

When you're ready to get back on the road, head north to Granite Hot Springs, just south of Jackson Hole.

The view is spectacular looking out over the canyon at these natural wonders in WY. Try to hit this stop on the trip in the fall before winter. Granite Hot Springs is closed in November and although it reopens in December, once the snow falls you'll need a snowmobile, snowshoes, or a dog sled to get there. It's one of the most popular tourist attractions in the state.

Kelly Warm Springs is the next stop on the trip. Although it's one of the last best-kept secrets in Wyoming, it's becoming better known as the years pass on.

It may be called "warm springs," but you can see steam visibly rising off the water, and the temperature is nice and comfy on Indian Summer days. Learn more about Kelly Warm Springs in Wyoming.

Way up in the northwest part of Yellowstone National Park is the last stop on this road trip. Boiling River Hot Springs isn't one of the better-known hot springs in Wyoming, but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy it.

Since Boiling River Hot Springs is in the Mammoth Hot Springs area, you can take a walk along the boardwalks that wind around the geothermal features before finding a comfortable spot for a soak. This is one of the few places in the national park where you can actually soak and relax in the water.

No matter the season, hot springs are the perfect road trip destination, even during winter in WY.
