Admission-Free, Concord General Store And Zoo In Wisconsin Is The Perfect Day Trip Destination

A fun day out doesn’t have to break the bank. In fact, you can have a wildly good time at Concord General Store and Zoo without spending a dime. As you’ve probably guessed from the name, it’s both a general store and a zoo. What the name doesn’t tell you is that the zoo is admission-free and home to animals from all walks of life.

Located just off the roadway in Oconomowoc, Concord General Store and Zoo is billed as a haven off the highway – and it really is!

The general store, which opened in 2001, carries an assorted product selection that includes organic foods, locally-made products, wine, and more.

In 2005, Concord Zoo was added to the property.

The zoo provides a sanctuary for an array of animals.

Alpacas, pigs, poultry, goats, and sheep are just a few of the animals that call the zoo home.

The best part of all, though, is that you can visit for FREE!

That’s right; it’s an admission-free zoo, so it won’t cost you a thing to visit. Of course, the zoo does accept donations.

Animal feed is also available for purchase; however, you’re not required to buy it.

If you choose, you can simply stroll through the zoo, petting and interacting with its adorable residents.
