The Official Christmas City Of West Virginia Is Positively Enchanting

Did you know that there is an official Christmas City in West Virginia? The small town of Bluefield, West Virginia, goes all out for the holidays (where else can you ride a Ferris Wheel covered in Christmas lights, after all?!), and as you can imagine, a visit here in the Christmas season is positively enchanting. 2023 marks the third year that Bluefield has reigned as the Christmas City in West Virginia.

The festivities kick off with the Holiday of Lights 5k Challenge, Nov. 18, and the lighting of the Animated Christmas Tree on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m.

Don't miss the Holiday of Lights opening night

on Thanksgiving night, Nov. 23, at 6:00 p.m. with more than 1.2 million lights twinkling in the night.

The Hometown Christmas Festival takes place every weekend Nov. 24-Jan. 6, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., featuring local vendors inside the Holiday of Lights.
