This Offbeat Washington Town Is Totally Underrated And You’ll Want To Visit Immediately

Unless you live in the Yakima Valley, you may think Naches is something you order on a charcuterie platter. But it's actually a quiet little town located in a valley in the foothills of the Cascades that happens to be a great place to spend an afternoon. There's not a lot going on in Naches, but the amenities it does have are worth checking out.

Naches is located just 12 miles west of Yakima.

The small community of about 825 residents has roots in agriculture and logging.

The area is incredibly beautiful.

The Naches River, the Tieton River, and nearby hiking trails make it a perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts.

If you have time for a hike, the easy 1.2-mile Boulder Cave Trail is a perfect adventure.

Just travel up Chinook Pass for about 20 minutes and you'll be there.

After your hike, you can relax with a glass of wine at Naches Heights Vineyard.

They're open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Stop for a photo at the Historic Naches Train Depot on the southwest corner of Naches Avenue and Railroad Street.

Built in 1906, it sheltered freight and passengers until the 1950s,

And when you see this sign, pull over.

There's nothing like a burger and a shake from Laredo Drive-In.
