9 Ways To Have The Most Washington Day Ever
So, what would an ideal "Washington day" look like, anyway? Probably something like this...
1. Begin your day with a very Washington breakfast.
Try some Snoqualmie Falls oatmeal, a hardboiled egg from Wilcox Family Farms, fruit from your local Farmers Market and a big cup of Starbucks coffee (or your favorite local brew).
2. Take a drive down one of our scenic highways.
There are beautiful roads all over the state. Try Highway 124, Washington State Route 106 or the White Pass Scenic Byway, pictured here.
3. Take a hike.
Washington's great outdoors are really, really great. Find a path, a trail or a hill and get moving.
4. Have some iconic Washington snacks.
Aplets and Cotlets, Almond Roca, Theo’s Chocolate and Tim’s Cascade Potato Chips are great picks.
5. Visit one of our state’s natural wonders.
We are so spoiled when it comes to natural beauty. Enjoy it.
6. Have a conversation about the Seahawks, the Mariners or (RIP) the Sonics.
For bonus points, make it a heated discussion.
7. Enjoy a glass of wine from the Yakima Valley, Walla Walla or Red Mountain.
If wine isn’t your thing, have a local beer. And if you don’t drink alcohol, try a Jones Soda.
8. Have a delicious seafood dinner.
Grill up some Pacific Northwest salmon, steam some mussels or cook up some crab legs.
9. Find a place with a view and watch the sunset.
Washington’s sunsets are spectacular.
