We Found Washington’s Road Less Traveled And It’s Heavenly

Unless you make it a point to take the back roads whenever possible or you regularly travel from Yakima to Enumclaw, you probably haven't spent much time on Chinook Pass. But by skipping this scenic byway, you're missing out on the chance to take in some of the state's finest scenery, including the majestic Mt. Rainier.

Chinook Pass is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the state.

You'll drive along State Route 410 between the towns of Enumclaw and Naches.

Beautiful views await you around every corner.

Of course, the highlight of the entire drive is Mount Rainier.

The views are spectacular, so pull over whenever you can and enjoy them.

The pass usually closes at the end of November due to weather conditions, so if you want to see it this year, go soon.

Most of the time, it looks like this.

Take Washington's "road less traveled by" and see for yourself.

If you enjoy getting away from it all, you should also check out Washington's loneliest road.
