Tennessee has managed to become wildly cool in the last couple of years, but we haven't forgotten our strange, semi-creepy roots. 11. We're home to the largest treehouse in the WORLD.

It's true - the Minister's Treehouse is no longer open to the public, but you can still drive by and see the historic behemoth.

10. Do you know where the world's largest cedar bucket exists?

Murfreesboro. You can find it in Murfreesboro.

9. Care to have a drink...in TWO states?

Patrick's Pub and Grill has a line straight through the middle of it, making it one neat bar. You can step from Georgia to Tennessee in a breath - but make sure you're only drinking on the Volunteer State side. It's the only half that's legal!

8. Check out the lights that Elvis hung.

It's true. At RCA's Studio B you can visit the recording studio that Elvis used and decorated with his own two hands, so many years ago.

7. Ah. A sad, weird spot.

In Camden, Tennessee you can see the Patsy Cline memorial. It marks the place where the plane she was on crashed, ending her life. Keep in mind, though - she's buried in Virginia.

6. Would you like to eat where Al Capone sat?

High Point Restaurant in Monteagle is known for its ties to the mob, and the notorious Capone once used the space to hide. There are many legends that float around the gorgeous house, but we'd recommend just coming to eat.

5. This is one creepy creature.

At Buster's Antiques in Chattanooga, you can find the head of the beast that a couple hit on Sugar Flat Road. What? WHAT?

4. Enjoy a koolickle, while you're at it.

It's only in Tennessee that you can indulge in one of these pickle-Kool Aid infusions. Would you dare to try it?

3. Have you been to the Museum of Salt and Pepper Shakers?

It's located in Gatlinburg, and it's quite a quirky place to visit. There's nothing like a salt shaker with its pal, the pepper shaker.

2. The Crystal Shrine Grotto is a man-made cave worth visiting.

Stuck hard in the middle of the Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery, it is decorated with quartz and fake stalagmites. Harp music is pumped through the tunnels, adding an edge to the eeriness.

The Hermitage Hotel in Nashville is known for its art deco inspiration and beautiful glass tiling with green accents. Even women can take a peek - after making sure the room is empty, of course.
