Most People Don’t Know These Small Towns In Tennessee Have AMAZING Restaurants
It's not just Nashville and Memphis that bolster a decadent foodie underground, you know. Tennessee has some fantastic restaurants hiding in these itty-bitty towns - or towns that aren't quite city status. It's a hard line to draw, okay?! Mainly because Tennessee = talent in the kitchen arena.
Without further ado, small Tennessee towns with AMAZING restaurants.
1. Jack of Hearts BBQ - Spring Hill
This fantastic barbeque spot unfortunately gets overshadowed by its proximity to Nashville, but we've tried their bbq and it's pretty much life changing. Absolutely.
2. Family BBQ - Dickson
(Note: as of August 30, 2020, Family BBQ is permanently closed.)
Another darling small town bbq hot spot, Family BBQ gives you the jolt of meaty goodness you need, without the traffic.
3. Bell Buckle Cafe - Bell Buckle
Bell Buckle is the quintessential small town in Tennessee, and we're huge fans of the tasty noms and the local folk. Who wouldn't be?!
4. Gabriel's Pizza - Cleveland
You can't have a restaurant list without an epic pizza joint, which is precisely what you'll find at Gabriel's. Delectable pizza pies and kind folk - who could ask for more?
5. Corner Pit BBQ - Dellrose
It may not look like much from the outside, but this bbq joint is perfectly out of this world!
6. Pie Sensations - Columbia
Perhaps not a restaurant, per say, but this bakery in Columbia is positively delectable. For real. It's worth a drive to finish off your dinner the right way.
7. Blue Ribbon Cafe - Soddy-Daisy
(Note: as of August 30, 2020, Blue Ribbon Cafe is permanently closed.) Serving delicious meals that are worthy of this quirky cafe's name, the fried chicken is fresh, never frozen, and we want to kiss someone for that.
8. Marcy Jo's - Pottsville
A sweet, small town feel and a menu laden with calorie dense southern staples will make Marcy Jo's a go-to for your next morning.
9. Goodness Gracious at the Mill - Readyville
Historic and delicious, this mill-based restaurant is straight from the good ol' days, and Tennessee is all the more better for it.
10. Thomas Drugs Old Fashioned Soda Fountain - Cross Plains
An old fashioned soda shop is just what the world needs, don't you think? Indulge in a blast from the past next time you're in Cross Plains!
