You’ll Never Guess What Tennessee Town Was Voted The Most Friendly City In America

NASHVILLE. Sometimes we may find ourselves getting a bit jealous of our capitol city, mainly because it's not the epitome of Tennessee (we see you, Knoxville) or a representation of our teensiest, tiniest towns (hey, Bell Buckle!). Still, it's a city the world loves and one of the friendliest towns in the NATION. That's pretty cool, if you ask us. So thanks, Music City. For putting Tennessee on the map and giving folks a bit of an inside on our pretty little state.

We sure love it.

Here's why we think Nashville hits it square on the nose when it comes to being the most friendly city in the nation - d'you agree?

For one, we eat SUPER well.

Our hot chicken caused an entire nation to stand up and listen - people that eat well live well, you know.

Loveless Cafe also serves up a precious bit of Nashville cookin'.

Take one look, and you'll understand. And we'll gladly share!

We love tourists and out-of-towners!

One, because a large majority of Nashvillians are transplants - we understand how you feel, and the born-and-bred folk are the kindest southern people you'll ever meet, mainly because it runs in their veins. Is that a thing? Yes. We're saying it's a thing.

We get to enjoy views like this...

Radnor Lake for the win!

And hotels like this.

Union Station is actually steeped in Nashville history, you know.

Our kids are smart as all get out, because our colleges are top notch.

Vanderbilt and Belmont are amongst the most well-known, but Nashville is also considered the "Athens of the South."

Music makes life a bit sweeter.

And Nashville has it in scads!

Plus, FREE music is even better.

Since a large majority of folk, both young and old, play some type of instrument, Nashville is fairly ringing with song at all time. Finding a free music show or festival is a cinch.

If you're looking to get out of the city for a minute, check out this small town right outside of Nashville!
