Why People Go Crazy For This One Hot Dog Joint In Small Town South Carolina

There's a hot dog artist in South Carolina that turns an ordinary beef frank on a fresh roll into his own paint-by-number canvas and you'll want to devour his creations. We've talked about places to get great hot dogs in the Palmetto State before, but we've never written about dogs like these!

Perfectly Franks is a third-generation family-run business in Summerville.

Locals remember the big day in 2011 that Guy Fiery featured this local eatery on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Here's a photo of the famous food host and our featured hot dog "artist" and restaurant owner Perry Cuda.

The regular menu is "loaded" with a tasty trail of tantilizing hot dogs. Additionally, there are daily specials, like this dog, topped with guacamole, fried tortilla strips, shredded cheddar, and sour cream. Now, THAT'S art!

The specials take the standard menu to a fantastic level, like this daily special that featured the plain old chili-topped dog -- but using wild game chili.

For a Mediterranean twist, and possibly something a little more healthy, try the Frank the Greek Dog.

Or go in the other direction and try the Franki Luv Dog -- BBQ slaw and french fried onions.

Head north for the dog topped with Philly Cheesesteak.

Or south of the border for hotdogs wrapped in corn tortillas, then deep fried and served with a chorizo queso. Yum! I'm ordering this one!
