This Might Just Be The Most Peaceful Town In All Of Rhode Island
Rhode Island is home to plenty of quaint, quiet towns and villages, and each is special in its own way. But with a perfect combination of lovely lakes, rolling farmland, and a remarkably low crime rate, one Ocean State town stands out as the most peaceful of them all.
You'll find the town of Glocester tucked into the western half of the state. The town covers a total of 56.8 square miles.
Glocester's population of around 10,000 means that there's plenty of room for farmland and forest.
The town is home to plenty of gorgeous and historic buildings, and it's a perfect place to take a scenic drive.
The villages of Harmony (with a name like that, how could this place not be peaceful?) and Chepachet are located within Glocester, and they offer plenty of charm. A stop at Brown and Hopkins Country Store in Chepachet is a must on any Glocester bucket list.
Pulaski State Park offers plenty of trails for beautiful walks suited for the whole family.
The town also has plenty of ponds where you can admire beautiful autumn reflections or just take a few minutes to breathe.
