7 Perfect Things To Add To Your Portland Fall Bucket List

Just because the rain has set in and is expected to stay awhile does not mean that fall is over. There are still plenty of weekends to squeeze in one of these fall favorites from your bucket list. Don't let fall breeze on by without celebrating the season to the fullest with one of these classic fall events.

1. Sample Wine

Head south to wine country and enjoy tastings to your heart's content. Perfect for a fall afternoon, wine tasting peaks around Thanksgiving, giving you plenty of time to make this fun activity a reality this fall.

2. Get Lost

Whether your family includes young kids or not, a trip to a farm is in order this fall. Besides picking a pumpkin, participating in a corn maze, or haunted corn maze, this place can bring out the child in anyone.

3. Pick Apples

Head to Hood River for a day of apple picking. This fall favorite is all the more fun when you have amazing views of the mountain as you pick sweet, delicious apples.

4. Take a Drive

Fall is the perfect time to take a drive and enjoy the changing trees and classic views. Head out on the Columbia River Highway for a lovely afternoon jaunt through some truly amazing scenery.

5. Take A Hike

While you may want to cuddle up inside, fall is actually one of the best time to explore nature. Changing colors and cool weather can make a hike magical at this time of year. Try hiking though Forest Park or Hoyt Arboretum in the city for a close-to-home trip amongst the changing trees.

6. Go Antiquing

When the weather gets bad, turn to decorating your house! Head to the Expo Center the last weekend of October for the biggest antique show around, or simply check out the many antique shops around town as the cool weather sets in.

7. Watch Football Live

Whether you are a Duck or Beaver fan, you still have a few more opportunities this fall to catch a game. Head down to Corvallis or Eugene to get a seat near all the action.
