Another scenic location for you to dedicate a weekend to exploring, you won't run out of things to do while you're visiting the town of Windham.
With a population of roughly 1,700 residents, Windham has earned several flattering nicknames, the most popular being the "Gem of the Catskills".
You might also hear people referring to this tiny town as being the "Land in the Sky" or "Heart of the Catskills", there's nothing quite like it!
Located within Greene County, Windham is absolutely breathtaking to see during the winter when everything's covered in snow.
While driving through this small town, you'll have a hard time not constantly pulling over to the side of the road so you can soak in all of the picturesque views. The town looks exactly like what it is, the perfect winter getaway for our residents to take.
The most popular attraction that draws in visitors to the tiny town this time of year is Windham Mountain Resort.
Those who make their way to the top of the mountain will have unforgettable views of the surrounding Catskills mountains, town and travelers making their way along Route 23 down below. The view is endless, making you feel like you'll never want to go back inside again.

A place we suggest putting your bucket list, you can even keep yourself cozy by the fire at the base of the mountain.
With plenty of places to rest and keep warm, you'll love recharging yourself by the fire before you get back out on the mountain one more time.
If you didn't get your fill of outdoor adventure at Windham Mountain, you can always explore The Windham Path that's in town!
Located just off of Route 23, The Windham Path currently features a 1.5-mile long trail that allows you to see the Batavia Kill stream and five beautiful bridges that are absolutely charming. Opening up back in 2013, the trail has become a popular place to go bike riding and to enjoy a scenic stroll.
With so much to do and see you'll certainly work up an appetite, so you'll want to take a trip to the Catskill Mountain Country Store & Restaurant!

Would this truly be a Catskill town if there wasn't a unique and quirky place for you to stay? Well say hello to Beds on Clouds!
There are a variety of places to stay when you're in Windham, but one place we like to suggest to new visitors is the quirky Beds on Clouds bed and breakfast. Beds on Clouds plays up on the town's theme of being known as the "Land in the Sky", with each guest room featuring hand-painted clouds by an artist named Betty Sweet. Less than a half-mile away from Windham Mountain, the B&B is nearby everything in this tiny town and will give you an unforgettable stay.
