The Outdoor Discovery Park In Buffalo That’s Perfect For A Family Day Trip

In your search to occupy your children, look no further than the subject of today's article: Tifft Nature Preserve! Read on to learn more about the Nature Preserve and the programs they have available for adventurous little ones and families.

Affiliated with the Buffalo Museum of Science, Tifft Nature Preserve is a 264-acre nature refuge with five miles of nature trails and three boardwalks to explore.

The preserve offers regular activities such as fishing and self-guided discovery along the trails, perfect for a family stroll! While access to Tifft is free, self-guided walks are available on Thursdays from 10AM - 12PM for just a $2 donation.

Along with camps and drop-off programs, Tifft also offers homeschoolers resources to better their lesson plans with their Homeschool Series, where your children can learn more in-depth information about the flora and fauna at the preserve.

If the weather isn't great for trekking outside, head to the Visitor Center for demonstrations by Tifft's knowledgeable staff! The Visitor Center is open Wednesday-Saturday from 10AM to 4PM and Sundays from noon to 4.
