Find A Hidden Hippie Scene In Toms River, New Jersey

Toms River is a trendy town with hippie vibes, offering artsy destinations, nature spots, and unique local shops.

What do you think of when you think of Toms River? I think of retirement villages and the 1998 Little League World Series. I think of a large, safe city that's probably a great place to live but not necessarily a travel destination. While I've been there before in passing, I never thought of going out of my way to visit...until now. The more I learn about Toms River, the more I like it. It's a trendy town with some seriously chill, hippie vibes.

Downtown Toms River is at the heart of it all. 53 Main Street is the pulse!

You'll find artsy destinations like Van Go Pottery Painting and the TRAC Art Gallery. Make your own art or admire incredible pieces made by local residents.

And what's more "peace and love" than homemade soy sea petal candles? You can find this delightful scent (and others) at A LiL Peace Of Tranquility.

Be a granola guy or gal and find fresh, healthy, delicious eats at Good Vibes Food.

And we can't forget about the NJ CBD Shop. They're big on the benefits of cannabidiol (#hempheals) and also know the value of yoga.

Were you already familiar with 53 Main? Do you have a favorite shop in Toms River? To channel the hippie vibes, even more, you can commune with nature at Cattus Island County Park or visit one of the town's terrific antique shops. Check out Yesterdays & Todays, Main Street Antique Center, or The Vintage Oasis.

If you need even more reasons to visit Toms River, they have one of the largest Halloween parades in the United States, a great brewery (Toms River Brewing), a unique bug museum (Insectropolis), and an incredible planetarium (the Robert J. Novins Planetarium).
