When in New England, clam chowder is a must.

Your next morning, grab a coffee from The InkWell Coffee & Teahouse, and explore Littleton's Main Street on foot!
(You might also want to grab a square of The InkWell's signature coffee cake... just trust us on this one.)
Littleton's Downtown area is peak New England.
It's basically comprised of the most charming, historic buildings you've ever seen.
The Pollyanna of Littleton is the unofficial town mascot, warmly welcoming visitors.
Littleton's joyful statue is a tribute to the hometown author, Eleanor H. Porter, the creator of beloved Pollyanna character.
There's also a historic covered bridge in Downtown Littleton: the Riverwalk Covered Bridge.
This romantic spot is a must-visit, and glorious any time of the year.
After exploring the town, sit down for lunch at the Littleton Diner, which has been around since the 1930's, and is an iconic institution in New Hampshire.
Make sure you bring your appetite, because the portions are plentiful!
If you're into brunch, the Littleton Diner was named a 2010 Yankee Editors’ Pick for “Best Pancakes.”
Their homemade corned beef hash is classic New England comfort food -- and legendary. Read more about Littleton Diner on their website.
After fueling up, it's time to head to Franconia Park.
This breathtakingly beautiful New Hampshire park is situated in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest, a quick 15-minute drive from town.
Within the state park, there are babbling brooks, bike trails, and an abundance of wildlife to take in.
Franconia Park also connects with the New Hampshire leg of the Appalachian Trail.
After a day of hiking, there's nothing better than a craft beer and good food.
You'll find both at Schilling Beer Co.
Located in a converted 18th-century gristmill on the banks of the Ammonoosuc River, Schilling Beer Co. is about as rustic as it gets.
Inside, you'll find a cozy atmosphere with Schilling Beer on tap, and 'zas on the fire in the wood-fired pizza kitchen.
You can't go wrong with the pub fare here -- it's absolutely delicious.
(Their wood-fired pizza is also crave-worthy.) Read more about Shilling Beer Co on their website.
Before heading out, be sure to drive up to the overlook at Kilburn Crags.
At the Kilburn Crags overlook, you'll be treated to a picturesque panoramic view of Littleton, along with parts of the Presidential Range and Ammonoosuc River Valley. It's truly one of the most spectacular and scenic views in New Hampshire.
Littleton is known as "The Glad Town" -- a nod to its ties to Pollyanna.
