Mission Mountain Winery offers exquisite wines and stunning views on the shores of Flathead Lake in Montana.
If your ideal day includes sipping wine under the sky in a beautiful setting, you'll fall in love with Mission Mountain Winery. Located on the shored of Flathead Lake in Dayton, this is Montana's first Bonded Winery, and both the scenery and the vino are exquisite.
Mission Mountain Winery got its start in 1980, releasing its first vintage in 1984.
Since then, their wines have received over 100 rewards and mentions, including international medals.
The winery currently produces about 6,500 cases of wine per year.
You'll find delicious Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Marquette and small amounts of Riesling, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer, among others.
The winery itself is beautiful.
They couldn't have picked a better location.
The Mission Mountain Winery tasting room opens May 1 and stays open through October 31.
The hours are 10-5 daily, except for July and August when they stay open until 6 PM.
Seeing where wine is "born" is a great opportunity to learn more about the industry.
Many of the wine grapes are grown in the Flathead region. The rest are grown in the Rattlesnake Hills region of Washington.
