5. And since you lived in such a tight-knit community, venturing out on your own was never an issue – even at a young age.

6. You were constantly visiting local “mom and pop” shops. And if you didn’t have enough money to buy something, it was never an issue because the store owner knew you and would either lower the price or let you pay for it later.

7. You grew up frequenting local restaurants that served food way better than any big-city-franchises.

8. You understand the meaning of “community” because, growing up, you saw the way peopled banned together through the good AND the bad.
