The temperatures are finally beginning to drop, which means outdoor activities are back in season! And we’ve found the perfect outside adventure for you – an open-air tour of Natchez. Take a look:
Based out of Natchez, Open Air Tours provides tours of the city’s historic downtown. Not your typical tour, Open Air Tours transports passengers via Global Electric Motorcars.
During the narrated tour, you’ll learn about Natchez’s history — all while getting to see some of the city’s most notable sites.
The tours begin at the site of the French fort, Rosalie, which dates back to 1716. From there, you’ll travel around Natchez to other significant locales, including Trinity Church.
Natchez is most known for its historic homes, so it should come as no surprise that you’ll see a few of those along the way.
Quiet and comfortable, each motorcar fits up to five passengers, with tours requiring a minimum of two people.
Tour times vary depending on the season, but are offered daily – as long as the weather cooperates.
A great way to see the city, the tour is $20 for adults (14 and up), $16 for kids (6-13), and free for kids under 6. Also, active military get a $2 discount.
Tours are available seven days a week, weather permitting.
