When the temperatures start rising in Mississippi, the only thing any of us really want to do is relax and stay cool. And we’ve found the perfect place to do just that – Canoe and Trail Outpost. Situated on the Bogue Chitto River, the outpost offers some of the best tubing in Mississippi. Take a look:

Canoe and Trail Outpost is located on the scenic Bogue Chitto in Tylertown, MS. It’s open seven days a week from May through December.

In addition to canoe and kayak trips, the outpost offers tubing trips down the river. At a cost of just $10 per person, it’s a great way to cool off without breaking the bank.

Starting at Stallings Bridge and ending at Canoe and Trail Landing, the tubing trip takes about four hours, making it perfect for a day of fun in the sun.

During the summer, the cool, flowing waters are sure to provide the ultimate relaxation experience.

And there are plenty of sandbars, so you can stop along the way to eat, catch some rays, or do some more relaxing.

Canoe and Trail Outpost also offers kayak and canoe adventures. Choose between a 2-hour, 3.5-hour, 5-hour or 6.5-hour trip, as well as an overnight trip.

*Kayak and canoe cost depend on the length of trip selected.

Your day of fun doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down, though.

The outpost has a campground with RV hook-ups in addition to primitive sites that overlook the white sand beaches of the Bogue Chitto.

Several cabins, which can sleep 4 – 6 people, are also available for rent. The quaint cabins feature AC and heat, a refrigerator, grill, and deck that overlooks the river.
