This Coastal Town Might Be The Most Charming Place In Minnesota
Two Harbors is a charming town on Minnesota's North Shore with beautiful natural attractions and delightful local businesses.
Minnesota many not have any ocean views, but that doesn't mean we're without coastline. In fact, because of our more than 10,000 Lakes, we have thousands of miles of it! But Minnesota's official coast? Definitely the North Shore, where we have almost 200 miles of shoreline to explore. If you're looking for a lovely town along the shore, look no further than Two Harbors. Read on to learn about one of the most charming towns in Minnesota.
Two Harbors is a small town about 20 miles north of Duluth on Highway 61. It has a population of about 3,700.
The town's location right on the edge of Lake Superior makes it an incredible place to live in and visit.
Once you've had your fill of gazing at the lake, head out to one of Two Harbors' other natural attractions: Gooseberry Falls State Park!
A charming and historic lighthouse sits right in town. This 1892 lighthouse now operates as a bed and breakfast!
And of course, the gorgeous Split Rock Lighthouse is just up the road. It's a must-see sight in Two Harbors - and in Minnesota in general.
The famous Betty's Pies is also in Two Harbors. This adorable restaurant overlooks Lake Superior. Stop in to sample anything from their delicious menu. Don't forget to top your meal off with a slice of pie - or take one to go!
But that's not the only place to get a great bite to eat. The lesser known Rustic Inn Cafe also has incredible pies.
There are several other great restaurants in town, too! In fact, local businesses line the main roads throughout Two Harbors.
This coastal town is one of the most charming not only on the North Shore, but in the entire state!
