That's exactly what you can look forward to when you visit Red Heifer Winery in Maryland. This adults-only winery serves delicious local wine, delightful bites, and boasts a charming atmosphere you won't soon forget. Curious to learn more? Let's take a look!

Welcome to the lovely Red Heifer Winery! Part of the Antietam Highlands Wine Trail and a member of the Maryland Wineries Association, this award-winning winery is one that belongs on every wine enthusiast's radar.

The property itself is absolutely breathtaking. It's situated on a sloping hillside that used to belong to Naylor Peach Orchard, which was the current owner's grandparents' business since 1945.

The winery opened in 2012 and quickly made a name for itself by serving both fruit-forward and dry wines.

If it's your first visit, you might be tempted to try a wine flight. This will include four 3-oz. pours from a selection of 8 dry and sweet wines.

Then, once you've discovered your favorite, you can enjoy a glass with one of the winery's famous charcuterie boards.

Looking for something a bit sweeter? The wine slushies are hard to beat! These seasonal treats are the perfect way to sit back, relax, and enjoy the views.

Visit during the late fall and winter and you'll also have the option of enjoying the winery from a personal igloo.

Please note that reservations for the igloos are required.

No matter your reason for visiting this hidden gem in Washington County, you'll agree that the peaceful atmosphere is simply unparalleled!
