For this particular trip we focused on the eastern shore region so that you'd have plenty of exciting places to stop before finally ending up in Ocean City. From themed-restaurants to exciting rides, there is so much to see and do! Read on, follow along with the map if you wish, and have a blast!
1. Delmarva Discovery Museum - Pocomoke City
First we're heading to Delmarva Discovery Museum in Pocomoke City. Learn about the rich history of Delmarva by exploring the interesting exhibits, and don't forget to visit the resident otters!
2. Mad Hatter Cafe - Salisbury
Did you know that there's an Alice In Wonderland themed restaurant in Maryland? It's known as Mad Hatter Cafe and it's full of whimsical details. Enjoy the magical decor all around and chow down on delicious food while you're at it.
3. Salisbury Zoo - Salisbury
Salisbury Zoo is always worth a stop, especially because admission is FREE (donations encouraged). There are dozens of animals to see and they're all so interesting.
4. The Mermaid Museum - Berlin
An entire museum dedicated to mermaids awaits in Berlin. The exhibits feature mermaid lore and more, and after you're finished exploring, don't forget to pose for a photo in the mermaid bathtub!
5. Frontier Town - Berlin
Seeking a spot to stop and stay for a few days? Frontier Town is always a great option. This western-themed campground has wild west shows, a themed pool, mini golf, and so much more. Your days here are sure to be packed-full of fun.
6. Baja Amusements - Ocean City
Baja Amusements is an underrated spot in West Ocean City. It features various rides, climbing walls, go-karts, and more. Challenge your family to a go-kart race and see who wins!
7. Dead Freddies - Ocean City
When you arrive in Ocean City you're sure to be hungry. Dead Freddies is one of the best restaurants for families in the area. This pirate-themed restaurant features tasty food and a sandy outdoor area complete with a pirate playground!
