Are you looking for a magical holiday experience for your family? Take a ride on the Polar Express! The Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. And Museum offers its Polar Express train every holiday season. This is the largest annual fundraiser for the museum, so your ticket purchase helps ensure the museum's funding for the upcoming year.

The train embarks from Ocean Gateway Visitor Center in Portland.
You'll find the Ocean Gateway Visitor Center at 14 Thames Street. Here's a helpful map. Park at the parking garage on 167 Fore Street.
The train is decorated for Christmas, inside and out.
You'll enjoy the festive atmosphere from the time you board.
The train cars are heated and cozy.
In fact, once all passengers are on board, it can get rather warm. Dress in layers so you can remain comfortable throughout your ride.
At the end of your train ride, you can meet the conductor.
You can even get a photo with the conductor!
Santa greets you after you've boarded.
During your trip, you'll hear the Polar Express story, enjoy sugar cookies and hot chocolate and sing carols.
Bells for the children who believe!
Every child gets a bell during the trip.
The ride lasts 45 minutes.
You'll want to arrive about 15 minutes before departure - the train leaves right on time.
