Strawberry season typically runs from March through May, so gas up the car and head over to this amazing strawberry farm where you can pick your own berries to take home and turn into delicious jams, jellies, pies, or just an accent to your favorite fruity cocktail - although they are sweet-as-can-be as a snack on their own!
Located in the tiny village of Albany, Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin & Strawberry Patch is a fun-filled family attraction that’s worth a trip from any corner of the state.
This locally owned family farm in Livingston Parish has been around since 1996, and from the moment you arrive, you’ll feel like one of the family.
As it is both a pumpkin patch and a strawberry farm, so you can enjoy this beautiful oasis year-round.
At Mrs. Heather’s, you can pick your own strawberries. Since we’re in the middle of the strawberry season, it’s the perfect time to head over.
Kids and adults will absolutely love grabbing a bucket and taking off to the fields and getting to pick their own strawberries.
And these strawberries are as beautiful as they are tasty!
Pick them right off the vine and bring them home to make a delicious strawberry pie or homemade jam to enjoy… but we think you’ll find it hard to resist just snacking on them on the trip back home!
Mrs. Heather’s also has several activities that the kids will love. After you’ve picked your berries, kids can enjoy the zip line, jumping pillow, bouncing racehorses, and much more.
