Fall is the perfect time to travel to another town and take in the fall colors. Illinois is full of charming towns, even more charming in the fall. But none is better than charming Batavia, Illinois. Off the Fox River, this town looks great year-round, but it is particularly stunning during the autumn. Here's what you can expect of this wonderful town.

What's more charming than a bit of history, which you will learn at the Depot? It was formerly the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad.

Go inside the building--it is much like how it used to look, including the ticket office.

Walk around town and find many pleasant gazebos to sit under.

You can even host a fall gathering at the Peg Bond Center, on the riverwalk and complete with a fireplace.

Old buildings, like the Louise Scott school, look especially beautiful when the trees all turn.

It's the beauty and power of the Fox River that makes fall just so charming here.

Make sure to walk around Main Street, exploring all the shops and maybe even picking up some goodies.

Walk around this area to the Challenge Dam, watching the water just rush down.
