Spring in Georgia is a magical time. The air's not too hot or muggy, the flowers are colorful, the grass is bright green: everything is filled with the joy and wonder of life. Here are few of our favorite places to visit when it's spring in the Peach State:

1. Forsyth Park: 2 West Gaston St, Savannah, GA 31401

Forsyth Park is the oldest park in Savannah. The 30-acre park is 200 years old and is right in the heart of the downtown area of this historic city.

2. Gibbs Gardens: 1987 Gibbs Dr, Ball Ground, GA 30107

Gibbs Gardens is undoubtedly one of the best botanical gardens in Georgia. At 356 acres, this place is a colorful collection of blooms of every variety you can think of.

3. Hills & Dales Estate: 1916 Hills and Dales Dr, LaGrange, GA 30240

The gardens at Hills and Dales Estate are an incredible display of floral beauty. The garden is one of the best-preserved pre-Civil War gardens in the Peach State.

4. Callaway Gardens: GA 31822

Callaway Gardens is famous for their amazing azaleas: they've got one of the largest collections of the flowers in the world. The gardens also boast plenty of trails that provide beautiful vantage points of all the flowers on display here.

5. Rock City Gardens: 1400 Patten Rd, Lookout Mountain, GA 30750

Rock City Gardens is another place that will make you feel like you just stepped into a fairy tale. Situated atop Lookout Mountain, this place is absolutely magical. The walking trail provides amazing views that are unlike anywhere else in the state.

6. Atlanta Botanical Garden, Gainesville: 1911 Sweetbay Dr, Gainesville, GA 30501

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is most famous for their massive Atlanta location, but you won't want to miss out on the smaller version in Gainesville either. You'll see loads of beautiful flowers, of course, and there are plenty of wooded trails to explore. The gardens also host regular exhibits like a LEGO display, holiday events, and more. 7. Hart County Botanical Garden: 1277 Elberton Hwy, Hartwell, GA 30643

The Hart County Botanical Gardens may not be as well-known as some of the other places on this list, but it's just as stunning in the spring. There are a variety of gardens here, separated out by the different species of plants in each. There's even a designated bird sanctuary in the Heritage Garden.
