The Creepy Small Town In Georgia With Insane Paranormal Activity

Surrency, Georgia is known for its intense paranormal activity linked to the Surrency family's haunted experiences in the 1800s.

Georgia is home to sweet peaches, culinary delights, and southern hospitality like you've never seen. It also holds an exciting and rich history within the United States. But that history that we are so proud of, also comes with a price. With so much history comes a bit of paranormal activity, especially in this creepy small town.

Back in the 1800s, a family resided in a small town in Georgia, owning a farm and living a normal life—they were known as the Surrency family.

It happened suddenly—things around their beloved home took a scary turn. Windows started slamming shut, or flying open with zero explanation, but this was just mild compared to what was to come.

Objects on shelves began flying off and shattering to the floor, or their family clock would strike thirteen before spinning out-of-control.

At night, outside against the edge of the property, evil red eyes would appear, but then disappear before sunrise.

Even at dinnertime, dishes would inexplicably shatter on the floor, or splatter in the laps of the family.

The family became tormented—losing sleep and appetite over the evil they were experiencing.

Most people didn’t believe the Surrency family and their outlandish claims, that was until they visited the the house for themselves.

The torment was witnessed by hundreds of people all over the world, including scientists, mediums, religious officials, and more—nobody could figure out what was happening.

Two theories included Mr. Surrency’s dealings with the devil, or that the ghosts were actually seeking the help of the Surrency family, who remained oblivious to the advances.

Eventually things became incredibly violent and specifically targeted the children like pulling hair and ripping them right out of their beds, or the worst which included a floating fireplace andiron that clobbered one of the boys.

While the Surrency family moved, and the house eventually burned down in 1925, the creepy town is still one of the most haunted spots in the state.
