While the name of this small Florida town comes from Scottish descent, they can still throw a one-of-a-kind St. Patrick’s Day or Feast of Saint Patrick celebration like they do in Ireland. Every year Ireland celebrates on March 17th the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, one of the most popular saints in the country. While this Florida town doesn’t celebrate the holiday quite as they do in Ireland, you’ll be happy to know they do this small country justice over such an important day.

The name Dunedin comes from Dùn Èideann, the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.

From there, head on over to Pioneer Park Stage, where you can enjoy the full St. Patrick’s Day Festival.
Spend the day in the park filled with live music, street parades, Irish dancers and full festive celebrations from noon all the way to midnight.
For those who want to kick off the day the right way, there is a St. Patrick’s Day 5K through Downtown Dunedin.
Enjoy the Dunedin Pipe Band, Scariff Dancers, and so many more types of entertainment to honor Ireland the right way.
You won’t even need to cross the Atlantic in order to get a taste of true Ireland in Dunedin, Florida.
