One especially memorable course is the Ghost Town Disc Golf Course in Central City.
This course is open year-round and has reasonable greens fees.
You'll need to make advance reservations to play.
You'll love playing this course because its routed right through a real ghost town.
Russell Gulch was once a thriving town of its own after gold was discovered nearby in 1859. The gold dried up a few years later and the town became a ghost town by the mid 20th century.
Brian O'Donnell purchased a few buildings in this ghost town in 1999 and built this public disc golf course in 2003.
Some of the holes are on steep terrain, which makes it fun and challenging.
The back half of the course is near the ruins of the town.
The views from the course are exceptional, too!
Although the snow can get deep for parts of the winter, this course is playable in all seasons.
