Arkansas’ Tunnel Of Trees Is Positively Magical And You Need To Visit

One of the best things about Arkansas isn't just the destination, it's the road trip to get there, too. Many Arkansans are familiar with the Pig Trail but some brush it off as a motorcycle only road trip. Those folks are definitely missing out. The Pig Trail's winding road and tunnel of trees makes the drive enjoyable in any form of transportation. Let's buckle up and take a drive to see this picturesque Pig Trail.

There's no doubt the Pig Trail is the best joy ride for any motorcyclist, but that doesn't mean non-bikers aren't welcome to enjoy the drive, too.

The Pig Trail is famous throughout the nation. It made USA Today's Top 10 best motorcycling routes in the country and was number two out of all North American routes.

The trail begins just north of Ozark and ends at Brashears.

Just take I-40 W to Hwy. 23.

The trees seem to engulf the road, making it quite a magical experience.

The explosion of fall color is great...

...but we're fans of the warm breeze and vividly green trees in the spring.

Your worries will melt away after taking the winding road and passing old barns.

Just imagine rolling the windows down and breathing in the crisp, fresh air.

When the tunnel of trees do break away you're left with quick glimpses of the Ozark National Forest.

The drive is a pleasant 19 mile point to point stretch.

No overwhelming coast-to-coast road trip needed when you have the Pig Trail.

If you would like to lengthen your ride we suggest taking the detour to Oark.

You'll have more gorgeous roads and an excuse to stop for a bite at the Oark Cafe. With the detour, this makes the drive around 80 miles round trip.
