These Are The 10 Best U.S. Airports For Pets

If you’re traveling with your furry family members, there are actually a few U.S. airports that are more pet-friendly than others.

A new study by travel site Upgraded Points has revealed the 10 best airports for pets across America. The study took into account factors like the number of animal relief areas in every terminal (F.Y.I., these are mandatory in airports servicing 10,000 passengers or more), real grass, water fountains, and running space. The survey awarded extra points to airports with onsite boarding or daycare facilities for pooches.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Scores for airports ranged from zero to a perfect 10. The airports that received scores of zero typically had nothing but a rocky or graveled area for pets to relieve themselves before security, while airports that scored high had plenty of pet amenities.
