This U.S. Airline Has Just Promised Not To Charge For Checked Bags

In an era where hidden fees and disappearing extras seems to be the norm when it comes to air travel, one American airline is promising to continue giving passengers all the perks they’re accustomed to.

As USA Today reports, Southwest Airlines has just announced that the airline won’t be doing away with free checked bags, free booking changes, and open seating. At least for now.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:

“I don’t think we need to change the essence of what Southwest Airlines is to still find opportunities to drive revenues,” CEO Gary Kelly stated.

While Southwest doesn’t charge for seat assignment, they’re also famed for their first-come, first-served approach to seating. Basically, if you want an aisle seat, you better be first in line. Still, an airline that seems in touch with what passengers want is a breath of fresh air.
