Marriott Hotel Rooms Will Soon Feature Amazon Echo And We Couldn’t Be More Excited
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Hotel rooms are stepping up their luxurious qualities to attract customers and to gain the attention of travelers from all around the country. Now there’s a new perk to staying at select Marriott Hotels. Amazon has announced a deal with the hospitality company that includes incorporating Amazon Echo into Marriott hotel rooms.

Just recently announced by Amazon, the company has made a deal with Marriott Hotels that they’re calling "Alexa For Hospitality." With the new deal, Amazon Echo will be rolled out into the hotel rooms of certain properties like Aloft Hotels, Autograph Collection Hotels, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, Westin Hotels & Resorts, select boutique properties, and vacation rentals from RedAwning.
So, what exactly will be the perk to having an Amazon Echo in your room? Aside from the fact that you’ll get to have a familiar luxury that you're used to having in your own home, the Echo will act as a middle-man between you and the front desk. Guests who have an Echo in their room will be able to use it to make calls to the front desk, request things like more towels, control the lights and TV, to play music, and so, so much more.
One of the other exciting perks to this new Amazon and Marriott Hotels deal is that the companies intend to allow customers to connect to their personal Amazon accounts through the Echo.
