Another US Airline Is Raising Baggage Fees – Here’s What You Need To Know

Hawaiian Airlines has joined the list of American carriers to increase baggage fees in recent months.

So how much will the baggage price bump cost you? Your first checked bag on a Hawaiian Airlines flight will now cost $30 rather than $25. Your second checked bag will also cost more – $40 rather than $35.

Though it might not seem like much, a family of four checking in a bag apiece will now be spending $20 more.

The $5 increase went into effect on November 13. Hawaiian is just the latest carrier to hike baggage fees. The only US carrier still offering two free checked bags (plus a free carry-on and personal item) on its domestic flights is Southwest Airlines.
