Dine Among Magical Sea Creatures At This Underwater Restaurant In Texas
Texas is full of unique places to eat, but you’ve never seen anything quite like this. Dive underwater and dine among fish, sharks, stingrays, and other sea creatures at the Houston Aquarium Restaurant.
The exterior looks like that of any other ordinary restaurant, but inside is a whole different story.
If you're picturing cheesy decor like seashell-shaped chairs or perhaps a small fish tank at the most, prepared to be amazed - the Houston Aquarium offers an underwater dining adventure like nothing you've ever experienced before.
Upon entrance, you'll feel as if you've taken a submarine to the ocean's deepest, darkest depths.
Walking on the clear glass floor is like floating in the water. Giant lamps extend from floor to ceiling, giving off an effervescent glow akin to that of anglerfish.
Not only is the entire dining room reminiscent of a brilliant underwater scene, but guests also get to marvel at a 150,000 gallon fish tank in the middle of the restaurant.
A wide variety of fish, sharks, stingrays, and other sea creatures make their home here, and the spectacle makes a nice talking point when conversation starts to run dry.
While drinking like a fish is generally frowned upon, nobody said anything about drinking with them!
Grab a seat at the Dive Lounge, located on the aquarium's second floor, and sip tropical-themed cocktails amid nautical surroundings.
As far as the food, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes.
Herb-crusted salmon, coconut shrimp, and lobster tails with lemon butter are just a few of the many delicious menu options to choose from. Our mouths are watering just from typing those mouthwatering dishes.
Try to snag a table in close proximity to the fish tank so your eyes and stomach can feast simultaneously. Dinner and a show; could you ask for anything better?
Let's not forget about dessert! The "Shark Tank" is a quirky treat sure to satisfy even the most voracious appetites.
A gooey lava cake is topped with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and a cute little shark-shaped cookie. They might be the ocean's greatest predators, but they don't stand a chance against a table of ravenous humans.
