With so many restaurants in Texas, it can be hard to know where to eat – especially if it’s a place you’ve never been before and the reviews are completely mixed. Condé Nast Traveler rated Austin’s Uchi one of the best restaurants in the WORLD, and no matter how you feel about food critics, that’s a pretty heavy statement that essentially guarantees a high quality meal.
Uchi is a world-renowned sushi restaurant on South Lamar with a modern, urban twist.
They also have a bar with amazing wine and hot sake, so you can just stop in for a drink and a few appetizers if you aren't in the mood for a sit-down meal.
The price range is moderate with sushi rolls running about $10 and entrees about $15. Not one penny of it will be wasted because Uchi serves such high-quality food that you're guaranteed to clean your plate.
Uchi is located at 801 S Lamar St, Austin TX. Also on this list were Houston’s Oxheart and Kim Phat Hu Tieu Nam Vang, both equally amazing restaurants.
Have you been to Uchi? What was your favorite thing you ate there?
