In 1921, the general store sold the necessities to the people of Leona. In the late '90s, Jerry and Cynthia House purchased the property. The couple have long ties to Leona -- six generations of family members have lived in this charming town! It was Jerry's dream to turn this classic establishment into an amazing restaurant.
The Leona General Store is only open three days a week, so you have to plan your trip ahead of time. It's not uncommon to see a line of people waiting for the restaurant to open. Don't let that scare you! It's all part of the experience. Once you taste that exquisite steak dinner, you'll realize that it was all worth it.
