This delightful destination opened in 1984 by Marge and Paul Kinsella. The couple found a wonderful 91-year-old cottage in northwest Austin to house their culinary creations, and the result is incredibly lovely.

You'll drink tea from imported Irish china and listen to the soothing sounds from across the pond. The quiet, tranquil atmosphere is relaxing and romantic, and it's sure to leave an impression.

Kinsella's culinary inspiration stems from the dishes she enjoyed as a child in Aughadeffin, a small village west of Ireland.
From the classic Emerald potato soup to the intricate quail, each dish is prepared with care.

It's hard to contain your excitement when a juicy steak or roast duck ascends on the dining table. At the Emerald Restaurant, many meals are carved and flambeed right in front of your eyes.

The Emerald Restaurant is open every day from 5 pm to 10 pm. You can find this special establishment at 13614 Hwy 71 West. To learn more, visit their website or Facebook page.
