Nashville’s Newest Taco Spot Needs To Be Added To Your Bucket List ASAP
Nashville is no stranger to a great taco. There are shops and stands all over the city, family-owned restaurants, and local chains. Whether you’re a taco person or team burrito, a new Tex-Mex eatery in Music City is well worth a bit attention, and Redheaded Stranger sure delivers. This East Nashville fixture is dead set on providing a fresh new take on Tex-Mex fare to an already inundated neighborhood, and they sure are making a splash.
Nashville is known for its quirky restaurant concepts and wide range of cuisine, but the newly opened Redheaded Stranger has just flipped the script on Middle Tennessee Tex-Mex.
Open for breakfast and lunch, you can choose to dine inside the beautiful, if sparsely decorated space, or order your meal to-go. Though the menu is small, the flavor spectrum is vast. Looking for a tater-tot taco? You've found it.
The brain child of Butcher & Bee chef Bryan Lee Weaver, Redheaded Stranger operates on a standard of decadence. Indulge in a poblano taco, served with hot sauce and whipped feta cheese, maybe indulge in the queso with fresh tortillas (pictured).
Though the flavor is big, the price is not. Tacos are served for a mere $3.50 apiece, with an $8 burrito rounding out the Tex-Mex centric menu.
The restaurant was designed to bring the homey feel of a neighborhood taco shop to the heart of East Nashville. Redheaded Stranger expands on the coziness of a local eatery with a creative cocktail menu boasting cheeky names like, "Thyme of the Preacher" and "Stranded in Texas".
Redheaded Stranger is where you come to indulge. It's where you come to eat your fill, to sip a margarita or savor the banana pudding shake. Psst...you can spike it with bourbon, if you're feeling adventurous!
You can visit for yourself from 10 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. There are no weekend hours as of the date of publication, but it's been rumored that hours will eventually be extended.
