Nashville is home to tons and tons of wonderful restaurants scattered throughout the city’s many neighborhoods, but you don’t have to venture far from downtown to get some of the best Thai you’ll find anywhere in the city. At Thai Esane’s newly-opened space in the Gulch neighborhood, you will find truly creative and memorable dishes that are sure to give you a unique and authentic taste of Southeast Asia. Thai Esane has been around the Nashville scene for over 5 years, but their newest location, located in the heart of Nashville's Gulch neighborhood, has only been open since fall 2019.
The restaurant moved into this space from their old location further down 12th Avenue South, and when they did, they took the opportunity to update the interior with beautiful furniture and decor, including a 6-foot tall Buddha statue from Thailand!
But of course, folks don't come for the decor — they come for the amazing food offered by the Thai Esane kitchen. They've got all of your favorites, spiced up with their unique and famous blend of Southeast Asian spices.
Chef Nina Singto has become somewhat of a local celebrity for her beautiful takes on classic Thai and Laotian dishes. Her extended family also owns and operates King Market in Antioch, one of the oldest and most lauded and authentic markets and restaurants in the city.
If you're looking for recommendations, the drunken noodles are a popular favorite for customers, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Thai Esane doesn't accept reservations, but there is rarely a long wait. If you plan on going during peak meal times, we recommend getting there a few minutes early.
Thai Esane is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week except for Sunday, making this the perfect spot to grab lunch with colleagues during the week or even for a nice date night on the weekend. We'll see you there!
