Peeler Park is tucked away on the northern side of the city, and is one of the most beautiful and underrated public areas in Nashville.

The park itself has several miles of greenway paths that run along the Cumberland River and through the local forests and fields. Local runners, walkers, and birdwatchers frequent the paved pathways for an easy escape from city life.

Peeler Park's close proximity to the Cumberland River is also worth nothing. There's a public parking lot at the mouth of the park, and a small, adjacent boat ramp.

Keep your eyes peeled for birds like Carolina wrens, blue jays, winter wrens, and even the occasional bald eagle. Great blue herons can be found along the waterfront, and are most commonly seen from the parking lot area.

Looking to fish? Bring a pole! Peeler Park is quiet and not commonly busy, so you won't have anyone bothering you. It's the perfect answer to an early morning fishing session.

The Peeler Park Greenway is roughly 1.9 miles in length, and is paved with asphalt. It is both wheelchair accessible and has equestrian trails.

Have you been to Peeler Park in Nashville? You can visit from sunrise to sunset, so make sure you plan your trip during the day and with plenty of time to get back to your vehicle before evening. Happy hiking!
