These Floating Cabins Near Nashville Are The Ultimate Place To Stay Overnight This Summer
Hales Bar Marina and Resort outside of Chattanooga might be a little bit of a drive from Nashville, but let us be the first to tell you that it’s so worth the drive. We live in one of the most beautiful states in the country, and we come by it naturally. Most people want to vacation to a mountain cabin or want to stay somewhere on a lake. But, the heroes at Hales Bar Marina boldly asked, “Why not both?” Next time you’re looking for a place to stay in Tennessee, make sure to check out these floating cabins.

The Hales Bar Marina Resort is about an hour and forty-five minutes outside of Nashville, but it offers one of the most unique experiences in Tennessee. Their floating cabins on Nickajack Lake make for a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The resort offers one, two, and three bedroom cabins, all of which are fully furnished and feature all of the amenities you would expect from a rental, including stand up showers, full bathrooms, a stove, and a small refrigerator.

Possibly the best thing about these cabins is the price. Spring and Fall rates start at only $69 per night, while the peak Summer season costs a minimum of $99 per night. For such a unique opportunity, it's hard to pass up!

Of course, the best thing about the cabins is the incredible view that comes with them. Nickajack Lake on the Tennessee River is nestled at the base of the Cumberland Plateau and offers sweeping views of the surrounding hills and rocky shorelines.

If you're looking for things to do in the area, we recommend visiting the old Hales Bar dam, which is 100% haunted. Probably. You can even take overnight ghost tours where you search for the spirit of a young girl that died at the site years and years ago. Don't miss this spooky but cool part of the local history!
Pretty cool, right? If you’re not a fan of the water though, we’ve got you covered with a unique land-based option, too: This Is The Most Unique Hotel In Nashville And You’ll Definitely Want To Visit.
